Welcome to lead.fo (“we,” “our,” “us,” or the “Company”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing data transparently and securely. This Privacy Policy governs the data collection, processing, and privacy practices for our advanced lead management, automation, and follow-up platform, available via our website and services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Privacy Policy applies to both “Suppliers” (businesses, individuals, or vendors who utilize our Platform to manage their leads) and, where applicable, “End-Users/Clients” (the individuals whose lead data is processed through the Platform).
1. Role of lead.fo (Data Processor vs. Data Controller)
It is important to understand the distinction between our role and the role of the Supplier using our Platform:
- The Supplier as the Data Controller: The Supplier is the entity that determines the purposes and means of processing the lead data. The Supplier is fully responsible for obtaining necessary consents and complying with all applicable privacy and data protection laws.
- lead.fo as the Data Processor: lead.fo provides the software infrastructure, automation tools, and API pipelines. We process lead data strictly on behalf of, and according to the instructions of, the Supplier. We do not own, control, or direct the use of any lead data transmitted to our Platform.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information Provided by Suppliers
To use lead.fo, Suppliers must create an account. We collect account-related information, including but not limited to: name, email address, company name, phone number, billing/payment information, and API credentials.
B. Lead Data Processed on Behalf of Suppliers
Our Platform receives and processes lead data provided by the Supplier or injected automatically through our API transmission or via manual data entry. This information may include, but is not limited to: full names, phone numbers, email addresses, geographical locations, and any custom data fields or parameters defined and collected by the Supplier.
C. Usage and Technical Data
When interacting with our Platform, we automatically collect technical data to ensure system stability, security, and optimization. This includes IP addresses, browser types, device information, system logs, and interactions with our automation and follow-up tools.
3. How We Use the Information
We use the collected data solely for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the lead.fo Platform.
- To execute automation workflows, triggers, and follow-up sequences as configured and directed by the Supplier.
- To facilitate secure API integrations and data transmissions.
- To provide customer support and technical troubleshooting to our Suppliers.
- To ensure compliance with legal obligations and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the Platform.
4. Complete Disclaimer of Liability and Supplier Responsibility
CRITICAL NOTICE: lead.fo is a technological service provider. We provide software tools for lead management, automation, and communication, but we do not engage in or control the execution of business transactions or communications between Suppliers and their End-Users/Clients.
A. Supplier’s Sole Responsibility
The Supplier assumes absolute and sole responsibility for any and all actions, workflows, operations, and communications conducted through the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to: ensuring the legality of lead generation, obtaining explicit consent from leads to be contacted, and complying with local and international anti-spam laws, privacy regulations, and consumer protection acts.
B. Platform Automations and Follow-ups
Any automation rules, SMS dispatches, email follow-ups, or WhatsApp triggers configured within lead.fo are executed entirely at the discretion, direction, and risk of the Supplier. The Supplier is solely responsible for the content, frequency, and legality of these communications.
C. Complete Exclusion of Company Liability
lead.fo, its owners, directors, employees, and affiliates shall have zero liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or misuse of the Platform by the Supplier. The Company bears no responsibility for any disputes, legal claims, financial losses, regulatory fines, or damages resulting from the interaction between a Supplier and their Clients/Leads. The Supplier agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold lead.fo harmless from any third-party claims resulting from a breach of this section or applicable privacy laws.
5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures
We do not sell, rent, or trade lead data to third parties. We only share information with trusted third-party service providers (such as cloud hosting infrastructure, secure payment processors, or API SMS/Email gateways) to the extent necessary to deliver our services, and only under strict confidentiality agreements.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain lead data and account information for as long as the Supplier’s account is active, or as required to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Suppliers may request the deletion of their data or their leads’ data at any time, subject to technical constraints and legal requirements.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify Suppliers of any significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website or via account notifications. Your continued use of lead.fo after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
